Holly Ridge Center is a non-profit neurodevelopment center in Bremerton, Washington. The Early Childhood Special Educator position offers an exciting opportunity to join our dedicated team of Infant Toddler Program professionals, providing early support services to children from birth to age 3 and their families.
Our Early Childhood Special Educators provide specialized instruction to children from birth to age three within a medical and educational model. They deliver evaluation, assessment, treatment, and consultation using an interdisciplinary, family-centered, and culturally responsive approach. This position also develops, coordinates, and implements individualized family support plans as part of Early Support for Infants and Toddlers (ESIT). Early Childhood Special Educators also partner with caregivers to support children's development in their natural environments.

Required Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities:
- Knowledge of Early Childhood Special Education preferred
- Knowledge of typical and atypical child development processes
- Ability to make home visits
- Meeting facilitation skills
- Awareness of family economic and cultural issues as they relate to early intervention
- Knowledge of Washington State Special Education and/or Federal Early intervention regulations
- Knowledge of IFSP process
- Ability to pass DSHS criminal history background check
Education, Training, and/or Work Experience:
- BA in Education, with a minor in Special Education; OR a BA in Special Education with a minor in Early Childhood Education or Early Childhood Special Education; OR a Master's degree in Early Childhood Special Education OR qualify for an additional pathway to obtaining an ESIT Developmental Specialist Certification.
- Coursework must include child development; family systems; evaluation/assessment and curriculum development/intervention strategies.
- Infant/toddler training and/or experience preferred
Required License or Certifications:
- ESIT Developmental Specialist Certification within 6 months of hire
- Valid Washington State food worker card
- Valid Washington State driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of required personal liability insurance
- Must have clean WA State driving record, as defined by HRC's agency insurance policy
- CPR/1st Aid Certification within first 90 days of employment
