Responsibilities
- Supervise and care for children in a safe, nurturing manner, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being at all times
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development, learning, creativity, and social skills
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment that supports early childhood education standards
- Monitor children’s behavior using positive behavior management techniques to encourage cooperation and respect
- Assist with diapering, feeding, nap times, and other daily routines for infants and toddlers
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns
- Administer basic first aid when necessary and respond promptly to emergencies or incidents following safety protocols
- Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent classroom management and effective caregiving strategies
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by implementing individualized care plans and working closely with specialists when needed
- Keep detailed records of children’s activities, developmental progress, attendance, and health information
Experience
Candidates should possess prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare centers, preschools, babysitting or nannying roles. Experience with infants, toddlers, or preschool-aged children is highly valued. Knowledge of childhood development principles and classroom management techniques is essential. Certifications in first aid and CPR are required; additional qualifications such as special education training or experience working with children with disabilities are advantageous. A background in early childhood education or related coursework will strengthen your application. Successful candidates demonstrate patience, adaptability, strong communication skills, and a genuine passion for caregiving.
