Holly Area Schools is seeking a highly qualified candidate to serve as a Middle and High School Science
Teacher for Broncho Virtual School beginning in the 2026-27 academic year.
The Board of Education will offer the successful candidate an annual salary per the HEA Master
Collective Bargaining Agreement commensurate with skills/experience. The successful candidate will
receive a complete and competitive benefit package.
The Community
Holly Township is nestled in the northern and western most corner of Oakland County and is filled with
natural beauty, wildlife, and serenity. Holly’s position in Oakland County offers the experience of the
outdoors at our many county or state parks without being too far from the convenience of more urban

The District
Holly Area Schools serves approximately 3,100 students in Northwest Oakland County. The district has
four elementary schools, one middle school, one high school, and a virtual school program. Holly Area
Schools also offers a superior variety of early childhood education programs, STEM in all elementary
schools and middle school, award-winning fine arts programs, expanded dual enrollment opportunities,
cutting-edge technology in all classrooms, and skilled trades programs that prepare kids for jobs of the
future. The district is composed of over 200 certified teachers with the vast majority boasting a Master’s
Degree or above.
The Holly Area Schools community approved a $97,000,000 bond in 2022 that is funding new and
enhanced learning environments, districtwide building and site improvements, as well as safety
upgrades. Some of the exciting improvements include:
- A new Holly Middle School spanning 155,000 square feet designed to create a
not only enhances academic achievement but also prioritizes the wellness of both
students and staff.
- Enhanced learning environments, including fine arts Auditorium, new Stadium & Track,
at the high school.
- Replacement of playground structures, fire protection upgrades, and safety

The Position
Broncho Virtual School seeks a student-centered educator to deliver flexible, personalized science
instruction in a virtual and hybrid setting. This role emphasizes engagement, individualized support, and
preparing students for success in their next steps. Candidates should be tech-savvy and open to innovative
practices that enhance student learning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid Michigan Secondary Teaching Certificate.
- Endorsements in Integrated Science (DI) and/or Science (DX) required.
- Endorsements in Mathematics (EX) and/or STEM/STEAM preferred.
Responsibilities
- Implement standards-aligned science curriculum.
- Design and deliver engaging, student-centered instruction.
- Customize courses (content, assignments, pacing) to support trimester scheduling.
- Incorporate real-world application into learning experiences.
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learner needs.
- Develop and implement targeted interventions; monitor student progress.
- Serve as a mentor/advocate for virtual learners across programs.
- Provide academic support and encouragement in both virtual and in-person settings.
- Assess student learning using formative and summative methods (virtual and in-person).
- Analyze assessment and participation data to inform instruction.
- Provide timely, meaningful feedback on student work.
- Communicate regularly with students, families, and staff.
- Collaborate with colleagues, administration, and support teams to improve student outcomes.
- Partner with counselors to support students.
- Participate in school and district teams, committees, and professional learning.
- Maintain accurate student records, attendance, and communication logs.
- Support and facilitate in-person lab sessions, including alternative education learners.
- Proctor standardized assessments.
- Foster a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment.
- Demonstrate strong organization, attention to detail, and technology skills.
