Position: Holloway Pet Cremation Services, located in Salisbury, MD.
Position Summary
The Family Service Associate for Holloway Pet Cremation Services meets with families who are making arrangements for their pets generally on an at-need basis, coordinates transfers pets from various locations, as well as creates memorials and keepsakes.

- Full-time
- Monday - Friday, 8:30AM-4:30PM
- Occasional weekends and holidays as required
- Location – Salisbury, MD
Essential Duties
- Create lasting relationships with our community partners and families experiencing the loss of their pet.
- Providing outstanding customer service to our families, vet clinics and vendors
- Able to meet with families making arrangements extending empathy and care Assuring documentation is accurate and complete
- Maintaining positive control of animals or cremated remains during the transfer process
- Demonstrating safety and courtesy, while driving company vehicles
- Able to handle and work with deceased pets
- Effectively manage multiple tasks and fluctuating demands
- Maintain general cleanliness of desk, work areas and vehicles
- Answer phones, prepare contracts, communicate service needs both in written and verbal manner
- Able to work a flexible schedule
- Follow set processes, schedules and directions for service needs both written and oral
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and be insurable under the company’s insurance provider
- Work efficiently, independently and manage time well
- Strong communication skills, both spoken and written
- Help other departments when needed
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education/Experience
- Associate degree or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree highly preferred.
- Previous marketing and sales experience preferred.
- 3-5 Years of customer service experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- 1-year experience in customer service or related position.
- Excellent customer service and communications skills.
Computer Skills
Demonstrated success in general computer competence including basic Word and potential to be trained on specific software for client information, billing and communication.
- Ability to interact with computer screen for up to eight hours at a time (visual acuity required).
- Must have manual dexterity for use of keyboard. Ability to remain stationary for periods of up to four hours.
Telephone Skills
- Experience with a multi-line telephone or ability to become proficient.
- Ability to communicate via phone, email and in person to resolve disputes, solve problems, etc.
Certification / License
- On-the-job training and certification will be provided in if applicant does not have an existing license.
- Current state-issued driver’s license.
Working Conditions
- Weekend availability may be required.
- Overtime as required.
- Extended periods at a desk or computer
- Ability to take regular breaks as work allows
- Bi-weekly on-call rotation (answering service dispatch calls only)
