Responsibilities
- Efficiently retrieve and deliver food orders from the kitchen to dining areas, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as plating, garnishing, and portioning to support kitchen operations.
- Maintain cleanliness in food service areas by cleaning tables, bussing dishes, and managing waste disposal.
- Handle manual lifting of food trays, boxes, and supplies using safe lifting practices to prevent injury.
- Support the serving team by providing timely assistance during busy service periods and special events like banquets.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team to coordinate order flow and guest needs.
- Uphold food safety standards by adhering to proper handling procedures and sanitation protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Prior food service or restaurant experience is highly preferred; familiarity with kitchen operations is a plus.
- Knowledge of food handling, safety practices, and proper manual handling techniques.
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly attitude for in-person customer service.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following safe lifting practices.
- Experience in hospitality settings like hotels or banquet events is beneficial.
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
