Under the direction of the HR Director, the HR Analyst for certificated staff performs a variety of highly complex personnel work including, but not limited to: Disseminate information regarding District personnel policies and procedures; Participate as a member of the District’s negotiating team with assigned bargaining unit; Oversee and perform the personnel application and selection process; Assist in the recruitment of employees, maintain confidential employee records, participate in training and professional development, Conduct new hire orientations. Establish and maintain a variety of complex databases including wage, salary and budget information. This is a multi-incumbent position. Employee will specialize in working with primarily certificated employees but may be cross-trained and may be expected to be able to work with both categories of employees. This is a confidential position. This position requires the knowledge of: Principles and practices of personnel; Workers’ Compensation; Leaves of Absence; Recruiting and employment; Employee records; Professional Development and Training; Classification and Compensation. This HR Analyst will work primarily with all certificated staff, and the focus in this position will be to: Process credentialed staff’s assigned data; provide information and assistance to all certificated staff; assist in the screening, hiring of certificated staff; compile information and prepare reports for all state reporting; assist certificate staff with credential analysis. The HR Analyst is also expected to: Maintain effective working relationships with other people; Communicate effectively verbally and in writing; Operate a PC and related software; Provide employees with accurate and timely services and information; Create and maintain complex personnel databases, and perform other duties as assigned.
High school diploma is required. A Bachelor’s Degree or higher is strongly preferred. At least 5 years of experience or more in Human Resources and experience working with Certificated Staffing and Credentialing is preferred, or combination of experience in HR and a closely-related field are required.
