What are the responsibilities and job description for the Aircraft Fueler / Line Service position at Hollister Jet Center, Inc.?
***Must live within 15 minutes of 200 Skylane Drive, Hollister, CA 95023 due to on call schedule / after hours fueling for California Department of Forestry.***
Aircraft fueler at the Hollister Airport. Must be over 18, speak fluent English, and have reliable transportation w/valid drivers license.
Schedule
- Weekends & Holidays: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Paid on-call after hours (April - November)
Requirement: Must live within 15 minutes of KCVH due to on-call schedule.
Duties
Fueling aircraft, helicopters and trucks in a safe, effective manner
Ensure the correct loading and balancing of fuel
Driving and ensuring company service vehicle is stocked with supplies/tools
Operates fuel trucks in the refueling of aircraft and helicopters
Operates aviation line service equipment
Assists with maintenance as directed
Performing vehicle readiness inspections to make sure tires, fluids, and other basic maintenance items are done
Basic Janitorial Duties
Maintain accurate accounting of fuel transactions
Maintain equipment in functional condition
Perform quality control checks on equipment
Qualifications
Able to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to perform basic math calculations
Able to lift heavy equipment and climb stairs or ladders to reach the aircraft
Handle fueling carts and fueling hoses which will require you to lift and move up to 70lbs
Work is done primarily outdoors; must be comfortable working in all weather conditions
Able to drag fuel hose in and around all types of equipment and fill the equipment while in operation
Able to climb in and out of trucks continually during shift
Possess mechanical aptitude regarding vehicles with some experience preferred
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 14 – 20 per week
