What are the responsibilities and job description for the Library Circulation Aide position at Hollidaysburg Area Public Library?
Responsibilities:
- Assist library patrons with locating and checking out books, materials, and resources, issuing, renewing, and updating library cards, and answering the telephone.
- Shelving and shelf-reading collections
- Opening or closing the library as required, evening and weekend shifts are required
- Perform other clerical duties
- Support library staff in various administrative tasks as needed
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a library or customer service role is preferred
- Familiarity with integrated library systems (ILS) and computerized catalog systems is preferred
Hours:
- 1-3 weekday evenings per week, 5pm-8pm (no Fridays); 1-2 Saturdays a month, 9am-5pm, is required
