We are seeking a knowledgeable, strategic, and driven 3rd Party Marketplace Supervisor to lead and grow our presence across major online marketplaces, including Amazon, eBay, and Walmart. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the automotive performance aftermarket, including fitment data, enthusiast buyer behavior, and competitive brand positioning.
This leadership role will oversee the day-to-day marketplace operations team, guiding strategy for product listings, pricing, promotions, and customer service across all third-party channels. The supervisor will play a key role in driving sales growth, ensuring catalog accuracy, and maintaining a premium brand experience across all marketplace platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a small team of marketplace specialists and coordinators, setting goals, priorities, and performance metrics for each channel (Amazon, eBay, Walmart, etc.).
- Oversee all marketplace operations—including listings, pricing, promotions, and customer interactions—to ensure best-in-class execution and alignment with company goals.
- Develop and implement growth strategies for each marketplace, balancing sales targets, brand positioning, and profitability.
- Ensure all listings are accurate and optimized with performance specs, vehicle fitment (year/make/model/engine), rich media, and SEO-driven keywords.
- Maintain and evolve brand storefronts on marketplaces to deliver a consistent, engaging, and premium customer experience.
- Monitor and analyze marketplace KPIs (traffic, conversion rates, sales, feedback) and drive continuous improvement through actionable insights.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, data, and marketing teams to ensure catalog accuracy, ACES/PIES compliance, and data-driven optimization.
- Plan and manage promotional campaigns, including Amazon PPC, eBay Promotions Manager, and other marketplace-specific advertising tools.
- Assist with MAP enforcement and coordinate efforts to identify and address unauthorized resellers or counterfeit listings.
- Partner with inventory and logistics teams to maintain healthy stock levels, manage returns, and ensure fulfillment performance meets platform standards.
- Stay current on marketplace policies, trends, and algorithm updates, ensuring compliance and competitive positioning across channels.
- Provide regular performance reports to leadership, identifying opportunities for expansion and efficiency improvement.
Required Qualifications
- 4–6 years of marketplace management experience (Amazon, eBay, Walmart, etc.), including team leadership or supervisory experience.
- Strong understanding of automotive aftermarket products, performance tuning, and enthusiast buyer behavior.
- Proficient with marketplace tools such as Amazon Seller Central, eBay Seller Hub, and optimization platforms (e.g., ChannelAdvisor, Feedonomics).
- Demonstrated experience managing ACES/PIES data and large product catalogs.
- Proven analytical and organizational skills; advanced proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets and data reporting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Experience running and optimizing digital advertising campaigns (Amazon Ads, eBay Promoted Listings, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving and customer service mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supervising or training eCommerce/marketplace staff.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices for marketplace listings.
- Familiarity with automotive enthusiast communities and aftermarket trends (off-road, racing, tuning, overlanding, etc.).
- Understanding of MAP enforcement and reseller compliance programs.
- Basic skills in Photoshop or similar tools for image editing a plus.
