Job Title: Full-time Pest Control Technician

About Hollenbeck:

Hollenbeck has been providing expert pest control services to homeowners and businesses for generations. We offer customized, effective and fast pest control solutions. Our local office is based in New Windsor, NY. This position is Monday through Friday, with rotating on-call and Saturday route schedule.

Qualification requirements:

· Reliable transportation

· Visually inspecting and treating for pest, pest harborage, and pest entries

· Building and maintaining good customer relations

· Ability to work flexible hours

· Being an interactive member in teamwork environment

· Customer service experience preferred

· Possess the physical ability to set up, use and work off various step ladders and extension ladders

Job Requirements/Duties include:

· Possess a valid NYS license driver’s license.

· Pass a pre-employment drug screen, motor vehicle, and background check.

· Be comfortable working with insects and various animals in a variety of environmental conditions and confined spaces, bending/lifting as needed.

· Be able to read and understand product labels printed in English. The Label is the LAW.

· Ensure customer satisfaction and handle issues and complaints accordingly and taking personal initiative and responsibility for correcting pest problems

· Inspect buildings and the surrounding environment for signs of pest infestation or pests.

· Apply pesticide safely in buildings or structures and the surrounding environment

· Create barriers to prevent pests from entering a building and create effective pest control measures to prevent pest infestation.

· Reside within 30 minutes of HPC headquarters.

Physical Requirements:

· Bend, lift, pick-up/down 50 pounds

· Stand/bend/kneel throughout shift

· Climb up and down a stepstool, stepladder, and ladder

· Use hands, wrists, fingers and arms for duration of shift

· You must possess physical stamina and be able to withstand harsh conditions as the nature of the job requires standing for a long period of time and working in an uncomfortable environment.

· Be detailed oriented and be able to follow detailed instructions in applying pesticide to avoid harm to the client and self.

· Have good customer service skills and be customer focused

· Have relevant training and/or experience in a similar role.

Education/Experience:

· High school diploma, basic math, reading, and writing skills, must be able to work extended hours, late night and weekends as needed.
