Hollenbeck Palms, a historic non-profit Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) in Los Angeles, is seeking an experienced, mission-driven Director of Human Resources.

What You Will Do (Key Responsibilities)
- Strategic Leadership: Partner with executive leadership to align HR initiatives with our non-profit mission and organizational goals.
- Talent Acquisition: Lead full-cycle recruitment and onboarding for healthcare professionals (RN, LVN, CNA), culinary, administrative, and facilities staff.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure total compliance with California labor laws, Title 22, California Department of Public Health (CDPH), and Department of Social Services (DSS) regulations.
- Licensing Requirements: Manage mandatory employee compliance files, including DOJ/FBI fingerprint clearances (Live Scan), TB testing, and health screenings.
- Employee Relations: Serve as a trusted advisor to management and staff, resolving grievances and cultivating a supportive culture.

- Experience: 5 years of progressive HR management experience.
- Industry Background: Strong preference for experience in healthcare, senior living, long-term care, or CCRC environments.
- Legal Knowledge: Expert-level understanding of California employment laws and wage/hour regulations.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field (SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification highly desirable).
- Skills: Excellent communication, strong conflict-resolution abilities, and a high level of empathy.
Salary : $125,000 - $135,000
