LAB TECH I - 6pm start

Schedule: Sunday-Saturday, 6pm-6:30am (Rotating 12 hour schedule), Overtime as needed, with rotating weekendsWages: $23 per hourLocation: San Marcos, Ca - At this time, we are only considering local candidates who are legally authorized to work in the United States. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.Ideal Candidate Criteria: Must have the knowledge and ability to follow aseptic protocol; collect line samples, raw and pasteurized milk samples received and produced daily for testing.Job Duties: The Lab Tech I is responsible for collecting and preparing dairy samples, performing chemical and microbiological testing, and accurately recording and analyzing results to support product quality and safety. Ensure compliance with regulatory and laboratory standards through quality assurance activities, equipment maintenance, and thorough documentation. Operates and maintains laboratory instruments, assists in troubleshooting quality issues, and contributes to reporting and decision-making processes.Skills Needed: Knowledge of math skills, computer, ability to read/interpret documents, and write routine reports/correspondence. May perform other duties as assigned, work as part of a team, maintain a clean/sanitary/safe work area. Requires accuracy and attention to detail. English language proficiency required. Previous lab experience is preferred but not required.Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop. The employee must regularly push, pull; lift and/or move up to 55 pounds.
