LCPC, LCSW-C, or LCADC -Licensed Clinical Therapist

Holland Wellness Center
Baltimore, MD Full Time | Part Time | Contractor
POSTED ON 6/22/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 10/19/2026

Make a meaningful difference for adults living with serious mental illness across Baltimore. Holland Wellness Center is seeking a fully licensed Clinical Therapist (LCPC, LCSW-C, or LCADC) to provide psychotherapy across outpatient, inpatient, and telehealth settings for clients facing complex psychiatric and substance use needs. If you bring clinical expertise, sound independent judgment, and a passion for working with high-acuity, underserved populations, you'll find real autonomy and room to grow here.

About Holland Wellness Center

Holland Wellness Center provides behavioral health and substance use services to individuals and families in Baltimore and surrounding communities. Our programs include an Outpatient Mental Health Clinic (OMHC), SUD inpatient and outpatient services, and PRP wraparound support for clients facing mental health and substance use challenges, trauma, housing instability, family stress, justice involvement, and barriers to consistent care.

Position Overview

As a Licensed Clinical Therapist, you'll deliver psychotherapy to a primarily adult caseload living with serious mental illness and serious emotional disturbance — including bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders, major depressive disorder, and co-occurring chronic substance use disorders. Much of the work involves stabilizing high-acuity clients and addressing the social determinants of health that disrupt care, such as medication and treatment non-adherence, housing instability, and justice involvement. You'll work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a supportive environment where your skills in clinical counseling and crisis intervention can thrive. This is a paid, fee-for-service role with flexibility and strong professional development.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations using ICD-10 coding to develop personalized treatment plans
  • Provide individual and group psychotherapy primarily to adults living with serious mental illness and serious emotional disturbance, including bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders, major depressive disorder, and co-occurring chronic substance use disorders
  • Deliver evidence-based treatment such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed care
  • Implement crisis management and stabilization techniques for clients experiencing acute psychiatric episodes, decompensation, or trauma-related distress
  • Address the social determinants of health that affect treatment — including medication and treatment non-adherence, housing instability and unhoused populations, justice involvement, and barriers to consistent care — and coordinate appropriate community resources and wraparound supports
  • Support engagement and retention by re-engaging clients who have disengaged from care and reinforcing adherence to medication and treatment plans in partnership with prescribers and case managers
  • Maintain HIPAA-compliant clinical documentation and accurate records while ensuring confidentiality and data security
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on case management, care coordination, and quality initiatives to improve treatment outcomes

Qualifications & Experience

  • Active, unrestricted Maryland licensure as an LCPC, LCSW-C, or LCADC
  • Proven experience across psychotherapy modalities, including CBT, psychodynamic therapy, grief counseling, addiction counseling, and trauma-informed care (e.g., PTSD management)
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with adults experiencing serious mental illness (e.g., bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, major depressive disorder) and co-occurring chronic SUD in outpatient or inpatient settings
  • Experience addressing social determinants of health and engaging hard-to-reach clients, including unhoused populations and those with medication or treatment non-adherence
  • Strong crisis-intervention and behavior-management skills within behavioral health or hospital environments
  • Experience conducting intake assessments and applying ICD-10 coding for accurate diagnosis and billing
  • Familiarity with mental health medical terminology and thorough clinical documentation
  • Working knowledge of HIPAA and patient-privacy requirements across assessment and case management

Compensation

This is a fee-for-service role: clinicians are paid per completed and approved clinical service, including evaluations, therapy sessions, groups, clinical supervision, chart review, and approved consultation. Rates vary by license type, service type, experience, and Board-approved supervisor status, and are finalized in your contract.

Why Join Holland Wellness Center
