The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of accurate cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring that all aspects of the project are accounted for. This role requires a sharp analytical mindset and strong communication skills.
Duties
- Assist with analyzing blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive estimates for construction projects.
- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for accurate pricing.
- Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather data that may impact project costs.
- Monitor ongoing projects to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
- Assist in the negotiation of contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to secure favorable terms and pricing.
- Maintain organized records of estimates, contracts, and correspondence related to each project.
- Provide support during the bidding process, including responding to inquiries from clients and adjusting estimates as needed.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- At least 2 years in construction estimating or project management.
- Ability to build effective relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers through strong negotiation skills.
- Familiarity with construction site operations and safety regulations.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for clear reporting and collaboration within teams.
