Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble meals according to dietary guidelines and menu specifications, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
- Serve food to residents or patients with friendly customer service, maintaining professionalism and compassion at all times.
- Assist with food handling, sanitation, cleaning, and bussing duties to uphold strict sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen.
- Manage time efficiently to ensure timely meal preparation and delivery, supporting smooth dining operations.
- Follow proper food safety protocols, including proper storage, temperature control, and sanitation procedures.
- Support the dietary department by assisting with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive dining experience that promotes residents’ comfort and satisfaction.
Experience
- Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated culinary experience with food preparation, cooking, and meal service.
- Knowledge of food handling safety standards and sanitation practices.
- Experience in dietary aide roles or similar positions within healthcare or food service environments is advantageous.
- Strong time management skills to coordinate meal prep and service efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
