Role Description The Junior Staff Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in Tampa, FL. This position supports the firm’s accounting function by assisting with general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and routine financial reporting. Daily responsibilities may include processing invoices and expense reports, preparing journal entries, supporting month-end and year-end close activities, and maintaining accurate financial records. The role also involves assisting with variance analyses, responding to internal inquiries about financial data, and ensuring compliance with established accounting policies and procedures. The Junior Staff Accountant collaborates with other finance team members and firm departments to provide timely, reliable financial information.
Qualifications
- Foundational accounting knowledge, including familiarity with general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets and accounting or ERP software; strong comfort with Microsoft Excel and standard office tools.
- Solid analytical and numerical skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in financial data and documentation.
