The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accountant to join our team at Holland Homes, a fast-paced and growing construction company. This role is pivotal in supporting the financial operations of the company and will work very closely with the Director of Finance/CFO, ensuring accurate budgeting, cost tracking, and financial reporting. You will play a key role in maintaining the financial integrity of projects and supporting overall business financial health.
Key Responsibilities
Manage multiple entities financials and cashflow· Assist in coordinating accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing and payments· Manage multiple company bank accounts to ensure proper funds allocation· Prepare and review journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations· Assist in month-end close and preparing monthly financial statements· Communicate with banks to address financial inquiries and maintain smooth operations· Prepare financial reports as requested by management· Support continuous improvement of the team by reviewing, recommending, and implementing better methods for existing processes.

The Person
As a Financial Coordinator, you bring a strong foundation in accounting and finance. You are proficient in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks Online, demonstrating a high level of attention to detail and organization. Self-motivated with a positive attitude, you work efficiently and contribute to the team’s success. A general knowledge of construction is a plus, enhancing your ability to understand industry-specific financial needs and processes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
4 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry
Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Online)
Strong Excel and data analysis skills
