SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER
HOLLAND ELEMENTARY SCHOOL DISTRICT

REPORTS TO:Principal
RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Provide instructional programs that promote student’s development of skill and knowledge in content area.
•Demonstrate effective command of classroom that supports student learning.
•Work as a contributing member of the School Community.
•Establish effective rapport with pupils to develop the skill, attitudes, and knowledge necessary to become successful individuals in accordance with each pupil’s ability.
•Establish positive relationships with parents/ guardians and staff members.
ABILITY TO:
•Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and administration.
•Modify student work to match students’ level of understanding and development.
•Maintain cooperative, productive and flexible working relationship with students and staff.
•Solve practical problems with students and staff.
•Understand and carry out oral and written directions.
•Plan and organize work to meet deadlines.
•Provide information and assistance to parents, the general public and other staff members in a helpful, courteous and timely manner.
QUALIFICATIONS:
•A teaching license issued by the State of Massachusetts appropriate for this content areaa
•Demonstrated expertise in specific instructional content area, as assigned.
•Ability to work in a team environment.
•Approved CORI and Fingerprinting results
SALARY RANGE: $56,154.00 – $64,902.18
