Position Summary
The Social Media Intern will play a key role in telling the Holland Chorale’s story through digital and visual media. This position offers hands-on experience in arts marketing, content creation, and nonprofit communications. The ideal candidate is creative, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic about the intersection of music and media.
Key Responsibilities
- Social Media Management: Assist in creating and scheduling engaging posts on Facebook, Instagram, and other platforms.
- Graphic Design: Help design simple promotional materials such as concert graphics, posters, or social media posts.
- Website Updates: Assist with updating event listings, blog posts, or news items on the Chorale’s website.
- Email Marketing: Support the creation of e-newsletters and event announcements.
- Event Support: Provide media coverage or behind-the-scenes support at performances and outreach events.
Qualifications
- Current college student or recent graduate in communications, marketing, digital media, or related field.
- Strong written and visual communication skills.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and basic content tools such as Canva Pro, Meta Business Suite, etc.
- Interest in music, the arts, and community engagement.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
