Job Title: Admissions Director
Salary: $23/hour DOE
Schedule: Monday-Friday 9 am – 5 pm

Benefits eligibility for some benefits dependent on full-time employment status Duties:
- Supervise and review the collection of admission documents, ensure completion, and forward to the appropriate departments as necessary.
- Ensure all admission agreements are completed within 24 hours of admission.
- Supervise or perform interviews of residents/guardians and obtain required information and signatures.
- Review incoming referrals and coordinate timely admission decisions.
- Verify resident eligibility, insurance benefits, authorizations, one-time contracts, LOAs (Letters of Agreement), and other payer requirements.
- Manage and follow up on open MSPs and coordinate MSP-related documentation and communication.
- Complete authorization requests for residents transitioning to in-house coverage at month end.
- Conduct facility tours for prospective residents, families, referral sources, and community partners.
- Prepare and maintain resident welcome bags, including inventory management, supply ordering, and distribution upon admission.
- Oversee room readiness prior to admission by utilizing a room readiness checklist to ensure a positive resident experience.
- Follow up with newly admitted residents within 24 hours of admission to address questions, concerns, and service needs.
- Round throughout the facility daily, checking in with residents and staff, assisting with customer service concerns, and responding to a limited number of call lights as needed.
- Assist team members and provide guidance regarding admission processes, resident orientation, and customer service standards.
- Assist with resident and family marketing materials, brochures, and informational packets.
- Assist in the orientation program for residents/personnel.
- Maintain an accurate record of available beds.
- Develop and maintain a good working rapport with inter-department personnel, as well as other departments within the facility.
- Maintain a resident waiting list in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Keep current on Medicare/Medicaid provider regulations for skilled nursing facilities.
- Maintain daily and monthly census reports as directed.
Qualifications:
- Admissions experience in a healthcare facility required
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well both independently and part of an interdisciplinary team
- Positive attitude and driven by desire to serve others
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple admissions, authorizations, insurance verifications, and resident onboarding activities simultaneously.
- Demonstrated customer service experience in healthcare, long-term care, or skilled nursing environments.
- Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, managed care authorizations, and insurance benefit verification preferred.
