Child & Family Therapist

Holistic Wellness Center NJ is seeking a warm, emotionally grounded, highly skilled Child & Family Therapist to join our growing multidisciplinary wellness practice serving children, adolescents, and families throughout Bergen County and NYC.
Our practice takes a therapy-first, skills-based approach to emotional wellness. We emphasize nervous system regulation, executive functioning support, emotional resilience, parent coaching, and family systems work. We are intentionally conservative regarding medication use in children and prioritize evidence-based psychotherapy, behavioral interventions, and practical coping systems.
The ideal candidate is structured, emotionally mature, collaborative, and comfortable working with high-functioning yet emotionally overwhelmed children, teens, and parents.
PRIMARY AREAS OF FOCUS:
- Anxiety disorders
- ADHD and executive functioning
- Emotional dysregulation
- School avoidance
- Parent-child conflict
- Family communication
- Teen stress and burnout
- Social anxiety and perfectionism
- DBT-informed emotional regulation skills
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and families
- Conduct parent coaching and behavioral strategy sessions
- Participate in collaborative treatment planning
- Maintain concise, professional documentation
- Coordinate with schools and outside providers when appropriate
- Contribute to development of structured wellness programming
IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- LCSW, LPC, LMFT, PsyD, or PhD eligible in NJ
- Experience working with children, adolescents, and families
- Strong understanding of emotional regulation and executive functioning
- Familiarity with DBT, CBT, ACT, ERP, or family systems approaches
- Calm, professional communication style
- Strong boundaries and organizational skills
PREFERRED:
- Experience with private-pay or concierge-style practice environments
- School collaboration experience
- Interest in developing groups and structured programs
COMPENSATION:
