Responsibilities

- Greet customers warmly and provide knowledgeable assistance to enhance their shopping experience
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for transactions including sales, returns, and exchanges
- Conduct product demonstrations to inform customers about features and benefits of the various pet food and products
- Upsell products by identifying customer needs and recommending suitable items
- Maintain visual merchandising standards and organize stock displays to attract shoppers
- Stock shelves regularly, manage inventory levels, and ensure products are properly labeled
- Handle cashiering duties such as cash handling, processing payments via various methods, and issuing receipts
- Provide excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or via online inquiries
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or working with animals preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail math calculations
- Strong communication skills in both verbal and written formats
- Knowledge of merchandising techniques and stock management practices
- Experience conducting product demos and upselling techniques effectively
- Excellent phone etiquette, interpersonal skills, and a professional demeanor
- Flexible with work schedule and able to work Saturdays
- Computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Docs preferred
