Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, surfaces, restrooms, and common areas using appropriate techniques such as buffing and floor care procedures
- Maintain cleanliness of commercial and residential spaces by dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing all designated areas
- Execute custodial duties including trash removal, window washing, and light maintenance tasks to ensure facilities are well-kept
- Operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently, including buffers, floor scrubbers, and industrial cleaning tools
- Support facilities maintenance by reporting repairs needed or safety hazards to management promptly
- Assist with specialized cleaning projects such as industrial cleaning or deep sanitation efforts when required
- Follow health and safety protocols diligently to create a safe environment for all staff and visitors
Requirements
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience with knowledge of commercial or industrial cleaning practices
- Familiarity with floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, waxing, and carpet cleaning
- Ability to operate cleaning machinery safely and effectively
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high standards of cleanliness
- Excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently within scheduled shifts
- Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the day
- Basic understanding of facilities maintenance procedures is a plus
