Duties
- Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens, clothing, and other textiles with precision and care
- Ensure all laundry is handled in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness of laundry equipment and work areas through regular cleaning and upkeep
- Assist with general housekeeping tasks such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting common areas
- Perform light custodial duties including waste disposal and replenishing supplies to uphold a pristine environment
- Support floor care activities like buffing and polishing to preserve the facility’s appearance
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of laundry cycles and housekeeping schedules
Experience
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience is highly preferred, especially in commercial or residential settings
- Familiarity with cleaning techniques such as floor care, buffing, and industrial cleaning practices
- Experience with laundry operations or facilities maintenance is advantageous
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to custodial work and handling cleaning chemicals
- Ability to operate basic cleaning equipment including washers, dryers, vacuum cleaners, buffers, and floor scrubbers
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness standards
- Prior porter or maintenance experience can be beneficial but is not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
