Responsibilities
- Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment following food safety sanitizing procedures
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients in accordance with kitchen standards
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables, removing trash, and ensuring cleanliness of dining areas
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and correctly, including dishwashers, ovens, and food prep tools
- Handle manual tasks such as lifting heavy pots or boxes of supplies while adhering to proper lifting techniques
- Follow strict sanitation standards to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment at all times
- Assist with food handling procedures during meal service or catering events to ensure quality and safety standards are met
Experience
- Previous food service experience or restaurant background preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Knowledge of food safety management and sanitation practices is advantageous
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment operation and basic knife skills is a plus
- Experience in catering, banquet service, or hotel food operations can be beneficial
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work efficiently in a fast-paced setting
