What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Agent position at Holiday Inn Temple-Belton?
We are looking for a dedicated and professional Front Desk Agent to join our team.The ideal candidate will be the first contact for our guests here at the Holiday Inn Temple/Belton, located at 5247 S General Bruce Dr, Temple, TX 76502.
You will be part of ensuring a welcoming atmosphere while also managing the front desk duties and helping our guests feel welcome while checking them in in a timely manner.
It would be important for you to have strong communications skills, pay attention to detail and have the ability to fulfill the task this position requires.
Your duties would be:
- greet and assist guests upon arrival
- providing a warm and friendly welcome
- manage phone systems,
- handling cash, cc and electronic payments
- handling incoming calls with professionalism and courtesy
- perform clerical duties, such as scheduling appointments and maintain calendars
- provide customer support by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
- maintain accurate records of guest information and transactions
- collaborate with other staff members to ensure seamless operations throughout the facilities
- Uphold phone etiquette standards while interacting with clients and vendors
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed, including data entry and filing.
Your qualifications must be:
- IHG experience is preferred
- previous front desk experience of 1 year is required
- previous hotel experience is a plus
- familiarity with phone systems and calendar management tools is advantageous
- strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- excellent verbal and written communications skills and demonstrating professionalism at all times
- must have a proactive approach to problem solving and customer satisfaction
- ability to work independent as a well as be part of a team in a fast paced environment
- Ability to learn computer systems and be coachable for improved performance.

Job Type: Part- and Full-time
Pay: $12- $14 per hour
Schedule: 8 hour shift, morning/evening/night/overnight shift, and weekends
