Responsibilities
- Operate laundry machines and equipment to wash, dry, and fold linens, towels, uniforms, and guest clothing with precision and care
- Sort laundry items by color, fabric type, and cleaning requirements to ensure optimal results
- Perform dry cleaning procedures for delicate or special items requiring specialized treatment
- Maintain cleanliness of the laundry area by regularly cleaning machines, work surfaces, and storage spaces
- Monitor inventory levels of laundry supplies such as detergents, fabric softeners, and cleaning agents, and notify management when restocking is needed
- Follow safety protocols and proper handling procedures for chemicals and equipment to ensure a safe working environment
- Assist with other cleaning duties around the hotel as needed to support overall cleanliness standards
Skills
- Proven experience in laundry operations or hotel housekeeping preferred
- Strong knowledge of laundry techniques including washing, drying, folding, and stain removal
- Familiarity with dry cleaning processes for delicate fabrics or garments
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure linens are spotless and well-maintained
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness
