Cook-PM position part-time

The Holiday Inn South Jordan is currently seeking a dependable, detail-oriented professional to prepare high-quality meals in their Gateway Bar and Grill restaurant. The ideal candidate takes pride in food preparation, maintains strong cleanliness and safety standards, and contributes to a positive guest and team experience through consistent execution.

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines.
• Set up, stock, and organize workstations to support efficient service throughout each shift.
• Monitor food quality, freshness, and temperature to ensure consistent standards are met.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, surfaces, and storage areas.
• Follow food safety, health, and hygiene procedures at all times.
• Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating inventory to minimize waste and support accuracy.
• Work collaboratively with team members to keep service running smoothly.
• Respond to changing priorities and support special requests or dietary needs when appropriate.

• Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or a related kitchen role is preferred.
• Strong understanding of kitchen safety, sanitation, and food handling practices.
• Ability to follow instructions, recipes, and standardized procedures accurately.
• Comfort working in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform routine physical tasks in a kitchen setting.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
