BASIC PURPOSE: We are in search of an energetic sales professional that loves building lasting relationships and closing the deal! If you are a passionate hospitality Sales Manager with a great track record then we have an outstanding opportunity for you to join our winning team!

 

Are you great at effectively soliciting a diverse customer base to achieve assigned revenue goals and establishing relationships to develop repeat business while improving overall guest satisfaction?

Have you been responsible for the development and performance of sales activities in assigned markets such as Local Negotiated and Group Corporate accounts, SMERF or Tour and Travel? ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

  • Research and understand demand generators, new business sources and trends, the internet as a prospecting tool, community involvement and networking.
  • Research competing hotels and identify sales strategies.
  • Listen to and understand customer needs, analyze this information and create tailored solutions to fit the customer’s needs.
  • Solicit and manage market segments to achieve and exceed established goals.
  • Proactive and creative selling to stand out from the competition.
  • Solid organizational skills.
  • Attentive to customers and timely to requests and needs.
  • Cultivate leads, establishing relationships and providing exceptional service.
  • Direct solicitation via telemarketing, outside sales calls, industry events, tradeshows, email, and Internet channels in search of new business.
  • Conduct site inspections and entertain qualified potential clients in accordance with company policies.
  • Participates in sales trips to key feeder markets and attends trade shows to promote the hotel.
  • Actively Participates in industry and community organizations.                       
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in Delphi Management System.
  • Complete daily traces and enter daily activities in Delphi.
  • Complete summary of weekly activities for weekly reporting. 
  • Complete all necessary correspondence for operating departments in order to execute the functions as contracted.
  • Embrace our brand Stay Real guest service culture.
  • Work closely with Catering Services and Reservations to ensure all contractual agreements with the customer have been met.
  • Maintain professional relationships with customers in order to continue to re-book their business and penetrate business opportunities that each of them may control.
  • Be actively involved in community organizations to establish hotel brand presence, and obtain leads and/or referrals.

 

 

Qualifications:

Knowledge and Skills:

 

Education:  College degree preferred, High School diploma required

 

Experience: A minimum of 2 year of hotel sales.

 

Skills and Abilities: Ability to negotiate, convince, sell and influence professionals and/or hotel guest(s).  The job also requires customer service skills and proper telephone etiquette.  Must possess great communication skills, be efficient and a team player.   The position requires awareness and experience in sales to ensure revenue goals are met monthly.

Hours Required:            Fifty (50) plus hours per week with flexible shifts/days.  Likely to include weekends

                            and holidays.
