Job Responsibilities:
- Balance and reconcile daily financial transactions.
- Audit and verify daily charges, payments, and ledger balances for accuracy.
- Prepare and distribute daily reports.
- Generate financial summaries for management and accounting.
- Process guest check-ins and check-outs during overnight hours.
- Assist guests with late arrivals or early departures.
- Respond to guest inquiries and resolve issues.
- Handle requests, complaints, and emergencies in a professional, calm manner.
- Manage reservations and room assignments.
- Modify bookings, no-shows, and cancellations as needed.
- Operate the front desk and perform light administrative tasks.
- Answer phones, take messages, and assist with basic clerical duties.
- Ensure lobby and front desk area cleanliness.
- Maintain a tidy and welcoming environment during overnight hours.
- Communicate shift details to incoming morning staff.
- Provide handover notes or reports to ensure a smooth transition.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in hospitality or front desk role, Night audit experience is required.
- Basic accounting or bookkeeping knowledge.
- Comfortable handling financial reports and reconciling transactions.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, especially important for balancing daily financial records.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Capable of handling guest requests, complaints, and emergencies professionally.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- The role is largely solo during overnight shifts.
- Comfortable using hotel management software and office systems, familiarity with PMS (Property Management Systems) like Opera, Quore, Kipsu, Relay , B4CheckIn etc.
- Availability to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Reliable and punctual, with a flexible schedule.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Hospitality or business-related coursework is a plus.
- Problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
- Able to handle multiple responsibilities smoothly and calmly.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Representing the hotel’s brand even during late hours.
