What are the responsibilities and job description for the Utility Attendant/Maintenance Helper position at Holiday Inn Express?
Job Summary: Responsible for the cleanliness, arrangement and supply of common areas. To provide quality service during the guests stay by meeting and exceeding his/her expectations.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Impress Guests. Provide the highest quality of service to the guest at all times.
- Maintain a clean, pleasant and professional image to the guest and wear the proper uniform at all times. Keep work area neat and organized.
- Clean public/common area restrooms
- Vacuum stairwells/Replace and/or empty vacuum cleaner bag as needed
- Clean fitness room – dust, clean mirrors, vacuum, replenish with towels & remove dirty towels
- Clean pool area – restrooms, tables, dust sills, replenish with towels & remove dirty towels
- Clean vending areas – mop floor, empty garbage can, wipe down machines
- Outside – pick up garbage in parking lot, empty all garbage cans outside of hotel.
- Clean all entrances into hotel – vacuum entry mats, clean windows/door
- Clean elevator – mop, clean tracks, dust
- Clean hallways – dust wood trim, high dusting on exit signs, lights, fire extinguisher box, clean behind doors, edging of hallways, dust window sills and clean hallway windows.
- Clean guest laundry room – dust, empty garbage, clean lint filter
- Shampoo guestroom carpet
- Document any maintenance needs to maintenance Department
- Turn in lost and found articles immediately.
- Assist in maintaining other areas of the hotel in a clean and orderly condition (employee lounge, locker rooms, linen closet, laundry).
- Communicate with other hotel departments regarding guest service requests or complaints. Keep immediate supervisor aware of any suspicious activity observed.
- Provide assistance to other team members to contribute to the smooth operation of the department and the hotel.
- Perform all duties as required and other tasks as assigned with an “Impress the Guest” attitude, while following good housekeeping habits and safe work practices.
- Shampooing Carpets
- Assist Maintenance Engineer in Daily tasks as needed.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.50 - $19.00 per hour
