Holiday Inn Express Bradford is searching for a full or part-time Maintenance Technician. We can offer flexible scheduling but daytime shifts are preferred.
Job Overview
Maintain the exterior and interior of the building for safety and functionality. Make repairs such as painting, electrical, hvacs, plumbing, and pool chemicals. This includes trash pick up, weeding, and snow removal. This role will also include general cleaning in public spaces and preventative maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery, electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and building infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
- Conduct repairs including welding, electrical wiring, and mechanical adjustments to restore equipment functionality promptly.
- Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to monitor and troubleshoot automated manufacturing systems.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders and asset histories.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as residential painting, carpentry repairs, and general upkeep of the premises.
- Supervise or collaborate with team members during maintenance projects, ensuring safety protocols are followed and tasks are completed efficiently.
- Read and interpret schematics and technical diagrams to diagnose issues accurately and implement effective solutions.
- Support manufacturing operations by minimizing downtime through swift response to equipment failures.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal client needs promptly and professionally.
Qualifications
- Be mechanically inclined with the ability to learn electrical systems, schematics, PLC programming, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Experience with residential painting or general facilities upkeep is a plus.
- Communication skills in English for clear documentation and team collaboration.
- Proficiency with tools
- Carrying, lifting, pushing and/or pulling items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Frequently standing up and moving about the facility; bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing and crawling
- Able to interact pleasantly with guests, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand and the Company.
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
