Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Houseperson to join our team. This role focuses on maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of public areas throughout the property while supporting guest service needs as directed by the front desk. The ideal candidate will have experience in custodial services, a strong work ethic, and excellent communication skills. Key Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain all public areas including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, entrances, and other common spaces.
- Perform floor care tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and carpet cleaning.
- Respond promptly to front desk requests, such as delivering items or supplies to guest rooms.
- Follow verbal and written instructions from the front desk or supervisors to assist with guest needs and property upkeep.
- Restock supplies in public areas as needed, including restrooms and service stations.
- Maintain cleaning supply inventory and notify management of any shortages or equipment issues.
- Adhere to safety procedures and cleaning standards at all times.
- Work cooperatively with other team members to ensure smooth daily operations and a positive guest experience.
Requirements
Must be able to work the shift that is needing coverage and can change every couple of weks. Some shifts are 8:30am-4:30pm as others are 3:00pm- 11:00pm.
- Previous experience in custodial, janitorial, or facilities support roles, ideally in a customer-facing environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness in public areas.
- Good communication skills and responsiveness to direction and guest needs.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting, bending, walking, and standing for extended periods.
- Willingness to be flexible and assist in various support roles across the property.
