Duties
- Thoroughly clean and sanitize guest rooms, including beds, bathrooms, floors, furniture, and fixtures using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment
- Handle chemical agents safely by following all safety data sheets (SDS) and handling procedures to ensure a secure environment for yourself and colleagues
- Perform floor care tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, and polishing to maintain spotless surfaces in guest rooms and public spaces
- Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling of furniture, linens, and cleaning supplies to support efficient room turnover processes
- Maintain high standards of sanitation by adhering to hotel housekeeping management protocols and industry best practices
- Respond promptly to guest requests or concerns related to room cleanliness or amenities, providing excellent customer service at all times
- Follow hotel emergency procedures diligently to ensure safety during unforeseen incidents or hazards
Skills
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial roles with a strong understanding of hospitality standards
- Skilled in floor cleaning techniques including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and floor care maintenance
- Knowledgeable about chemical handling, proper use of cleaning equipment, and safety data sheets (SDS) compliance
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining efficiency during busy shifts
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude that enhances guest satisfaction
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning methods and custodial experience that supports high-quality cleanliness standards
- Strong understanding of hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for all staff and guests
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
