Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily restaurant operations, including supervising staff, overseeing food preparation, and maintaining high standards of service.
- Lead staff training and development initiatives to enhance team performance and ensure adherence to food safety and hygiene protocols.
- Oversee inventory control processes, including ordering, stock rotation, and waste reduction to optimize food costs.
- Ensure accurate cash handling and POS (Point of Sale) system operations such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for smooth transactions.
- Support shift management by coordinating schedules, supervising kitchen and front-of-house teams, and resolving operational issues promptly.
- Maintain compliance with health regulations, food safety standards, and quality assurance procedures across all departments.
- Contribute to budgeting efforts by monitoring expenses and identifying opportunities for operational efficiencies.
Skills
- Proven experience in food service management within quick service & fast food or casual dining environments.
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management with culinary expertise preferred.
- Excellent leadership skills with previous supervising or assistant manager experience; capable of motivating teams and fostering a collaborative environment.
- Proficiency in using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; adept at cash handling and transaction accuracy.
- In-depth knowledge of inventory control, food safety practices, and food handling regulations.
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to resolve issues swiftly while maintaining professionalism.
- Experience in managing budgets, conducting staff training & development sessions, and overseeing restaurant operations including catering or banquet services is highly desirable.
