Job Summary:
The Laundry Attendant is responsible for the daily cleaning and processing of hotel linens, towels, uniforms, and guest laundry. The role ensures high cleanliness standards and supports the housekeeping team to provide an exceptional guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sort, wash, dry, and fold hotel linens and guest clothing according to property standards.
- Operate and maintain commercial laundry equipment, reporting any malfunctions.
- Ensure proper use of cleaning agents and follow safety and sanitation procedures.
- Inspect items for stains, damage, or wear; treat stains or notify supervisor as needed.
- Maintain inventory of laundry supplies and alert supervisor when reordering is needed.
- Keep laundry area clean, organized, and safe at all times.
- Handle lost and found laundry items following hotel policy.
- Coordinate with housekeeping to ensure timely delivery of clean linens and towels.
- Assist with other housekeeping duties as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous laundry or housekeeping experience a plus.
- Basic understanding of laundry chemicals and equipment.
- Good physical condition; able to stand for 8 hour periods, lift, bend, and move heavy loads.
- Detail-oriented and organized with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Work Schedule:
- Weekends, holidays
- Monday-Thursday
- Shifts will be from 10:30am to whenever laundry is finished
