Role Description The Night Auditor is a full-time, on-site position based at Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Overland Park, KS. This role is responsible for overseeing the front desk during overnight hours, including checking guests in and out, managing reservations, and responding to guest inquiries and requests. The Night Auditor performs daily financial balancing and reconciliation of hotel transactions, prepares reports, and ensures that cash handling and accounting procedures are followed accurately. Additional responsibilities include monitoring the property for security and safety, addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally, and maintaining a clean and organized lobby and front desk area. The role requires consistent adherence to brand standards and hotel policies while delivering courteous, efficient service to guests.
Qualifications
- Strong front desk and receptionist duties skills, including guest check-in/check-out and phone etiquette.
- Experience handling reservations, room assignments, and basic hotel systems or property management software.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse guests and team members.
- Accurate cash handling and basic accounting skills, including reconciliation of daily transactions and preparation of financial reports.
- Ability to work overnight shifts reliably, maintain attention to detail, and follow established procedures.
- Basic computer proficiency and comfort with learning new software tools.
- Prior hotel or hospitality experience is preferred but not required.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in hospitality or accounting is a plus.
