Responsibilities
- Operate laundry equipment including industrial washers, dryers, and garment care machines to ensure efficient cleaning processes.
- Handle textiles and materials with proper manual handling techniques to prevent damage and ensure safety.
- Sort, load, and unload laundry loads using push carts or other tools to streamline workflow.
- Apply appropriate laundry detergents, cleaning agents, and sanitation procedures in accordance with safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, including sanitation of machines, floors, and storage spaces.
- Follow safety protocols during heavy lifting and materials handling to prevent injuries.
- Assist with special laundry services such as dry cleaning or textile cleaning as needed to meet customer expectations.
Experience
- Prior experience in cleaning or laundry services is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Basic math skills are helpful for measuring detergents and managing inventory.
- Knowledge of safety standards in production environments ensures a safe working space for all team members.
- Strong customer service skills are valued for interacting professionally with staff or guests when necessary.
- Familiarity with sanitation procedures, laundry detergents, and garment care machines enhances efficiency in the role.
