Duties
- Operate commercial laundry machines to wash, dry, and fold linens, towels, and guest uniforms efficiently and thoroughly
- Sort laundry items by color, fabric type, and cleaning requirements to prevent damage and ensure quality results
- Handle delicate items with care, including dry cleaning processes when necessary
- Maintain cleanliness of laundry areas by regularly sanitizing machines, workstations, and storage spaces
- Monitor inventory levels of detergents, cleaning supplies, and laundry chemicals; notify management when supplies need replenishing
- Assist with special requests such as pressing or stain removal to meet guest or operational needs
- Follow safety procedures for handling chemicals and operating machinery to ensure a safe work environment
Requirements
- Prior experience in laundry services or hotel housekeeping is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Knowledge of laundry techniques including washing, drying, folding, and dry cleaning processes
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and cleanliness standards
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting heavy loads
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment
- Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors
