What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laundry Attendant position at Holiday Inn Express & Suites Tuscaloosa East?
Essential Tasks: * Sort soiled linen.
- Wash and dry linen using set standards and appropriate chemicals in washers and dryers.
- Fold linen.
- Maintain constant and efficient flow of laundry operations to allow for complete turnover of days linen.
- Maintain an organized and clean work environment.
- Identify stains/damage of linen and handle appropriately.
- Conduct discard count and report to Housekeeping Supervisor.
- Stock linen closets on all floors.
- Follow all departmental rules and procedures in doing your job.
- Maintain assigned equipment. Report any problems with your equipment to your supervisor or maintenance immediately.
- Be aware of and follow all safety rules and use caution in doing the job.
- Sweep, mop and sanitize lobby bathrooms.
- Sweep, mop stairwells.
- Assist front desk in delivering requested items to guest.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $14.50 per hour
