What are the responsibilities and job description for the Room Attendant position at Holiday Inn Express & Suites Murphysboro-Carbondale?
As a Room Attendant – you’ll make sure our rooms and suites are always ‘fresh and welcoming’ for our guests after a busy day at work – creating a haven for them to escape and relax in – or get that last bit of work done!
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize guest rooms and bathrooms according to hotel standards
- Change bed linens, towels, and other linens as needed
- Dust and polish furniture and fixtures
- Vacuum carpets and sweep floors
- Empty trash cans and dispose of waste properly
- Replenish amenities and supplies in guest rooms
- Follow proper safety and hygiene procedures while performing housekeeping duties
- Report any maintenance issues or damages to the appropriate department
Requirements:
- Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel or similar setting preferred
- Attention to detail and strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
