Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Front Desk Agent to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. This role involves managing front desk operations, assisting with guest inquiries, and contributing to the overall guest experience in our hotel or resort setting.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests upon arrival with a warm and friendly demeanor.
- Manage check-in and check-out processes efficiently, ensuring accuracy in guest information.
- Handle reservations, cancellations, and modifications using hotel management software.
- Provide information about hotel amenities, services, and local attractions to enhance guest experience.
- Respond promptly to guest inquiries and requests, demonstrating excellent customer service skills.
- Conduct night audits as required, ensuring all financial transactions are accurate and up-to-date.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front desk area.
- Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to address guest needs effectively.
- Utilize phone systems to manage incoming calls professionally, demonstrating strong phone etiquette.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a hotel or resort front desk role is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong customer service skills with a passion for hospitality management.
- Familiarity with hotel management software is a plus; training will be provided as needed.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on phone etiquette.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Must be capable of handling guest's concerns/complaints
- A positive attitude and willingness to assist guests at all times and maintaining high guest scores
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including AM, PM and Overnights, weekdays, weekends and holiday's as required by the hotel's operational needs.
