What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeper/Laundry Worker position at Holiday Inn Express & Suites Hearne?
Duties:
- Perform a variety of cleaning activities according to brand standard
- Deal with reasonable complaints/requests with professionalism and patience
- Inspect and notify appropriate person if not clean, something is missing, or any damage is noticed
- Check stocking levels of all consumables and replace as needed
- Adhere strictly to rules regarding health and safety and be aware of any company-related practices
- Collect laundry, wash, fold and store according to brand standards
Skills:
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper usage, and safety precautions
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and work independently
- Attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and organization
- Provide excellent customer service and create a welcoming environment for guests and team
- Must be physically able to lift a 5 gallon bucket of detergent, fold laundry and reach and clean using appropriate body mechanics
