Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all linens, towels, and garments are cleaned, pressed, and presented to the highest standards. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness and quality of our hotel’s laundry service, contributing to an exceptional guest experience.
Duties
- Operate washing machines and dryers efficiently to launder hotel linens and guest garments.
- Sort, wash, dry, and fold laundry items according to established procedures.
- Perform dry cleaning tasks as needed for specific garments.
- Inspect items for stains or damage and take appropriate action to clean or repair them.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the laundry area, ensuring all equipment is in good working condition.
- Collaborate with housekeeping staff to ensure timely delivery of clean linens and garments.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role preferred, particularly in a hotel setting.
- Knowledge of laundering techniques and dry cleaning processes is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy loads and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely completion of laundry tasks.
