Position Summary:
The Hotel Room Inspector plays a critical role in ensuring guest satisfaction by verifying that all guest rooms and public areas meet the hotel’s cleanliness, maintenance, and presentation standards. This position is responsible for inspecting the work of Room Attendants, providing immediate feedback, reporting issues, and supporting the housekeeping team to maintain a consistent quality experience for all guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect guest rooms, hallways, and public areas after cleaning to ensure they meet brand and property cleanliness standards.
- Ensure rooms are properly stocked with supplies and amenities.
- Identify and report maintenance issues to the engineering or maintenance department promptly.
- Document inspection results and provide feedback to Housekeeping Supervisors and Room Attendants.
- Support training and mentoring of new housekeeping staff on cleaning standards and procedures.
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
- Verify lost and found items are properly logged and handled.
- Ensure special requests (VIPs, extended stays, etc.) are executed accurately and noted for future reference.
- Assist in cleaning rooms or public areas when needed to support team workload.
Qualifications:
- Previous housekeeping or inspection experience in a hotel environment preferred.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Available to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts as needed.
Work Environment:
This position requires walking, standing, and frequent movement between guest rooms and hotel floors. Work is performed indoors with occasional exposure to cleaning chemicals.
