What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hotel Maintenance Person position at Holiday Inn Express Bensalem?
Looking for Part-Time Maintenance Person for Evening Shift.
Responsibilities Include:
- Complete minor repairs such as replacing ceiling tiles, filters, light bulbs, patching vinyl, painting, troubleshoot and repair pipelines, toilets, sinks, kitchen and laundry equipment, etc.
- Respond in a courteous and prompt manner to all guest questions and/or requests to ensure guest satisfaction
- Perform preventative maintenance duties as detailed in the hotel preventative maintenance calendar
- Monitor efficiency of equipment and electrical systems such as air conditioning controls, guest entrance/access doors, television sets, lighting systems and make minor repairs and/or replacements to ensure things are working properly and efficiently at all times
- Refurbish furniture and fixtures within guest rooms such as cabinets, tables, chairs, doors, windows and counters. Paint and finish furniture and fixtures in guest rooms, if needed
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management
Details:
- Day/Evening/Night shift hours. Some weekends and holidays are required.
- Able to lift, carry, pull and push items up to 50 pounds
- Able to hear and speak to employees and guests in person and/or by phone
- Able to bend, stoop, climb, stretch to reach, push, stand for long periods of time, sit, kneel and twist
- Ability to work in a variety of conditions including rain, snow, wind, cold, heat, etc.
- Able to see and read on computer screen and paper
- Able to use hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
Must be able to pass a pre-employment DRUG TEST and BACKGROUND CHECK.
This position participates in our BONUS program after the probationary period.
