Duties

• Thoroughly clean and sanitize guest rooms, including beds, bathrooms, floors, furniture, and fixtures using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment.
• Handle chemical agents safely by following safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines and proper handling procedures.
• Perform floor care tasks such as vacuuming carpets, mopping hard floors, and maintaining cleanliness in hallways and public areas.
• Manage manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting of linens, cleaning supplies, furniture, or equipment while adhering to safety protocols.
• Conduct routine inspections of guest rooms and public spaces to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards and hotel policies.
• Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly in case of incidents or safety concerns, ensuring guest safety at all times.
• Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities, supply inventory, and safety procedures to support hotel housekeeping management efforts.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial roles is highly preferred; janitorial experience or industrial cleaning background is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemical agent handling, and floor care methods.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking.
• Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management systems or hospitality industry standards is advantageous.
• Understanding of safety data sheets (SDS) and adherence to safety protocols during cleaning operations.
• Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness standards across all areas.
• A positive attitude combined with strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and hotel staff.
