What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Guest Service Agent position at Holiday Inn Express and Suites?
We’re looking for a 2nd or 3rd Shift Reception to assist guests with checking into their rooms and whatever requests they may have in the evening. 2nd shift desk responsibilities include checking in guests, handling their requests, take new reservations, answering the phone, stock the vending and amenities in the lobby and maintain a clean appearance on your shift. The 2nd shift is all responsible for making sure the pool gets closed properly and on time. Ultimately, you will provide excellent customer service to guests and keep the front desk and accounting operations running smoothly. 3rd shift closes the daily accounts out during a night audit program.
Responsibilities
- Check in guests, answer phones and take reservations
- Respond to guest complaints, requests and emergencies
- Count the cash drawer.
- Keep accurate financial records and ledgers
- Clean and Tidy up the lobby
- Stock stuff and ensure everything is full
- Shut down and lock up the pool room properly
Skills
- Proven experience as a Guest Reception or in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry
- Experience with accounting and facilities management software
- Excellent math skills
- An eye for detail
- Punctuality
- Good problem-solving skills
- Strong customer service skills
- The ability to multitask
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Availability to work overnight
