Position Title: Breakfast Host Department: Food & Beverage

Reports To: Housekeeping Supervisor/General Manager

Position Overview

The Breakfast Host assist in ensuring all guests are provided with prompt, friendly and quality service according to restaurant policy and hotel standards.

Essential Job Functions

• Acknowledge all guests entering the bar area with a smile and eye contact.
• Greet guests seated in tables in a friendly, hospitable manner within 1 minute.
• Good working knowledge of special features and promotional menus.
• Provides hospitality and guest satisfaction
• Complete closing duties, including storing all reusable goods, breaking down goods, cleaning all equipment and areas, returning equipment to proper locations, locking refrigerators.
• Restock items, turning off lights, locking doors, and completing daily cleaning checklist.
• Set up, and maintain station organization, neatness and cleanliness throughout the shift
• Inspect the cleanliness and presentation of all china, glass, and silverware prior to use.
• Assist in creating napkin roll-ups.
• Perform individual bussing duties for each table assigned to the individual
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day, practicing clean-as-you-go procedures.
• Listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees and guests.
• Complete assigned ongoing and end of shift side work and other duties as requested by management.
• Perform all other job assigned tasks

Requirements

• Restaurant experienced is required
• Must be warm, friendly, upbeat, outgoing and positive
• Requires good communication skills and guest relation skills
• Ability to work positively in fast-paced environment.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions and ability to concentrate.
• Good personal hygiene
• Basic to intermediate English communication skills: must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
• Punctual - Be on time for all shifts
• Must have the ability to multi-task
• Being resilient under pressure
• Ability to work without supervision
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends and

Holidays.

• Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly
• Complete safety and training certifications

Physical Requirements

• Extended hours sometimes required.
• Ability to be on your feet and alert for extended periods of time.
• Continuous use of hands and arms.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance.
