Hotel Housekeeping Supervisor

Job Overview
Holiday Inn Express in Matthews, NC is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented, and experienced Head Housekeeper / Head Inspector to lead our housekeeping team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a similar role, with strong leadership and communication skills.

You will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and readiness of all guest rooms and public areas, overseeing daily housekeeping operations, and inspecting rooms to meet brand standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and motivate the housekeeping staff
• Inspect guest rooms and public areas for cleanliness and quality
• Ensure all cleaning and safety standards are met
• Help coordinate daily room assignments and tasks
• Communicate with the front desk and maintenance teams as needed
• Step in to clean rooms when needed, especially on slower days
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and linens
• Assist with scheduling and daily shift coverage
• Uphold the standards of Holiday Inn Express brand and ensure guest satisfaction

Experience

• Previous experience in a housekeeping leadership role is required
• Must be flexible and available to work 5 days a week, with the willingness to help on additional days if needed
• Able to work weekends and holidays as required
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
• Ability to lead a team and manage responsibilities independently
• Must be reliable, professional, and committed to maintaining a clean and welcoming environment
