Overview
We are seeking a proactive and energetic Houseman to support our housekeeping team in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout our hotel. This vital role ensures guest areas are spotless, safe, and welcoming, contributing directly to exceptional guest satisfaction and operational excellence.
Duties
- Perform floor cleaning, vacuuming, and detailed sanitation of guest rooms, hallways, and public areas using appropriate cleaning equipment.
- Handle chemical agents safely, following safety data sheets (SDS) and hotel protocols for chemical handling and storage.
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to cleaning supplies, furniture, or equipment to ensure efficient housekeeping operations.
- Maintain cleanliness of all hotel spaces by executing janitorial duties such as dusting, mopping, and trash removal.
- Support hotel housekeeping management by ensuring all cleaning tasks meet sanitation standards and safety procedures.
- Respond promptly to guest requests related to housekeeping needs with friendly customer service.
- Follow hotel emergency procedures during incidents or safety concerns to ensure guest and staff safety.
Qualifications
- Proven custodial or janitorial experience in hospitality or industrial cleaning environments.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including carpet extraction, polishing, and maintenance.
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and steam cleaners.
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely while adhering to SDS guidelines.
- Strong manual handling skills for heavy lifting tasks associated with cleaning supplies or furniture.
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude toward guest interactions.
- Prior experience in hotel housekeeping management or hospitality industry is preferred but not required.

Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour
